How to install SynetoOS 6 with Hyperion on Bare Metal servers

The operation requires the entire physical host to be rebooted

PREREQUISITES

IPMI/iDRAC: ensure you have access to the IPMI/iDRAC interface for remote management;
ISO: download the ISO file;
Java: verify that Java is correctly installed on your workstation, to support the installation of the operating system;
DHCP: ensure at least two IP addresses are available via DHCP, for network configuration;
Internet Access  (mandatory): to successfully install the software


Step 1. Login to IPMI/iDRAC

Step 2. Navigate to the Boot tab, then set Boot Mode Select to UEFI


Step 3. Run the ISO from IPMI ("How to mount an ISO via IPMI")

Step 4. Install SynetoOS 6 with Hyperion

The installation takes approximately 45 minutes and consists of two main phases:

  1. SynetoOS Installation
  2. SynetoOS First Boot Initialization


IMPORTANT
Once the installation is completed, the server will automatically shut down.
You must power it on again to finalize the installation process

 

Step 5. Select the default (first) choice from the boot menu

 

Step 6. SynetoOS will perform the First Boot (up to 10 minutes)

The IP address will not be visible in the ESXi console until the initial system installation is completed (approximately 10 minutes)
 

 

 Step 7. Proceed with the configuration (“SynetoOS 6 quick setup”)
