01. Introduction

This module reviews the basics of Cove Data Protection and how to get started by creating your password and setting up two-factor authentication.

 

02. Login to Cove Data Protection

This demonstration reviews the steps for setting up Cove Data Protection for the first time, which includes setting up multi-factor authentication.

 

03. Manage Customers

This module reviews how to add a customer and the details to include for Service Type, Device Count, and Data Storage location. Demonstrations include: How to Add, Edit, and Delete a customer and How to Add a Site at the Customer Level.

 

04. Add, edit, and delete a customer

This demonstration reviews how to add, edit, and delete a customer in Cove Data Protection, along with how to add information for a customer such as General, Company, Contacts, Notes, and Custom Branding.

Demonstrates the steps for backing up Microsoft 365 for a customer which includes selecting users and Microsoft application  to backup. Applications include SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Teams.

 

11. Restore M365 Teams

Demonstrates the steps for restoring Microsoft 365 Teams which includes selecting each Team. Note the restore steps are similar for restoring Exchange, OneDrive, and SharePoint.

13. Review Backup Manager & Management Console

This module reviews the two main interfaces used in Cove Data Protection: the Management Console and the Backup Manager. Demonstrations include: How to create a customized Dashboard view in the Management Console, How to perform a remote command on a device via the Management Console, and How to view the Backup history and profile of a device in Backup Manager.

This module reviews the different methods for restoring data to a device.

 

25. Configure a Recovery Location

Demonstrates how to download the Recovery Service from Cove, install to a Recovery location (i.e. Virtual Machine), and configure the Storage location for restore or recovery.

 

26. One-Time Restore

Demonstrates how to complete a one-time restore in Cove Data Protection using a SuperUser account. Note the prerequisites to perform a One-time restore include: 1) Configuration of a Recovery Location and 2) Credential verification using a passphrase. Contact a user with Security Officer permissions to generate a passphrase prior to starting the restore.

 

27. Restore from the Backup Manager

Demonstrates restoring data by opening the Backup Manager from either the Management Console or directly on the device.

 

28. Restore from the Recovery Console

Demonstrates where to download the Recovery Console and restore data for different data sources.

 

29. Recovery using Standby Image

This demonstration provides an overview of the Standby Image, a Recovery Plan for Cove Data Protection.  Note: This is an add-on feature that requires additional back-end configuration prior to assigning a Standby Image recovery plan.

 

30. Disaster Recovery

This module reviews the different types of Disaster Recovery: Standby Image (add-on for Continuity), Virtual Disaster Recovery from the Recovery Console, and Bare Metal Recovery using boot media.

 

31. Bare-Metal Recovery Using Boot Media

This demonstration reviews how to create the boot media to perform a Bare Metal Recovery as well as the required preparation of the physical disks.

 

32. Virtual Disaster Recovery using the Recovery Console

This demonstration reviews how to perform a Virtual Disaster Recovery from the Recovery Console.

This module reviews how to setup and run scheduled reports from the Management Console.
