How to Install SynetoOS 6 with Hyperion

The installation requires the entire physical host to be rebooted

PREREQUISITES

IPMI/iDRAC: ensure you have access to the IPMI/iDRAC interface for remote management;
Java: verify that Java is correctly installed on your workstation, to support the installation of the operating system;
DHCP: ensure at least two IP addresses are available via DHCP, for network configuration;
Internet Access  (mandatory): to successfully install the software
ISO: download the correct ISO file based on the versions of SynetoOS you want to install
   SynetoOS 6.0.0 (6486) + Syneto Hyperion

 

Step 1. Boot the system with SynetoOS + Syneto Hyperion ISO

For Syneto hardware, please refer to the article "How to Mount an ISO via IPMI".

 

Step 2. Install SynetoOS 6 with Hyperion

The installation takes approximately 45 minutes and consists of two main phases:

  1. SynetoOS Installation
  2. SynetoOS First Boot Initialization


IMPORTANT
Once the installation is completed, the server will automatically shut down.
You must power it on again to finalize the installation process.

 

Step 3. Select the default (first) choice from the boot menu

 

Step 4. SynetoOS will perform the First Boot (up to 10 minutes)

The IP address will not be visible in the ESXi console until the initial system installation is completed (approximately 10 minutes)
 

 

 Step 5. Proceed with the configuration (“SynetoOS 6 Quick Setup”)
