Step 1. Login to UPS Appliance GUI (replace <ups_vm_ip> with the correct information)

Default credentials:

• Username: admin
• Password: admin

Add UPS

Step 1. Click the Settings tab, select UPS Configuration, add the UPS IP address, set the SNMP community (default: public), and then click Save

Add SynetoOS Host

Step 1. Click the Hosts tab, then select Add Host

The SynetoOS IP address is the same as the Hyperion IP address

Step 2. Fill in Address

The system automatically generates an API key for the host.

Test Shutdown Sequence

Step 1. Click the Dashboard tab, then select Test Shutdown (Dry Run)

Change Default Password via CLI

Step 1. Connect to UPS Appliance via SSH as admin

ssh admin@<ups_vm_ip>

Step 2. Change default password

doas passwd

The command will prompt you to enter the new password twice to confirm it
