This procedure requires a full system reboot and will erase any existing RAID configuration
Restore BIOS to Factory Defaults
Step 1. Power on the server
Step 2. During the boot-up press F9 to enter System Utilities menu
Step 3. Navigate to System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > System Default Options

Step 4. From Restore Default Manufacturing Settings, select Yes, restore the default settings.

Step 5. Press F12 to save changes and exit

The system will display a confirmation message:
Disable the Internal SD Card Slot
Step 1. Reboot the server
Step 2. During the boot-up press F9 to enter System Utilities menu
Step 3. Navigate to System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > System Options > USB Options

Step 4. Set Internal SD Card Slot on Disabled

Step 5. Press F12 to save changes and exit

Configure HP Smart Array Controller
Step 1. Reboot the server
Step 2. During the boot-up press F9 to enter System Utilities menu
Step 3. Navigate to System Configuration
Step 4. Select your Smart Array (e.g. HPE Smart Array P816i-a SR Gen10)

Step 5. Click on Configure Controller Settings

Step 6. Click on Modify Controller Settings

Step 7. Set Unconfigured Physical Drive Write Cache State to Default and Configured Physical Drive Write Cache State to Disabled, then click Submit Changes

Step 8. Go back to the Step 6 menu, then click on Configure Controller UEFI Driver Health Reporting

Step 9. Set Configure Controller UEFI Driver Health Reporting to Report all errors, then click Submit Changes

Step 10. Go back to the Step 5 menu, then click on Array Configuration

Step 11. Click on Manage Arrays

Step 12. Check that no RAID arrays are present

Each option should be examined to ensure that no drives are selected for RAID or array configuration and that no arrays are present.
If any are detected, they should be removed.
Step 13. Press F12 to save changes and exit
