Minerva

Hypervisor Integration

Manages integration with the hypervisors. It enables VM lifecycle management:

Provisioning
Power management
Hardware management
VM migration

Marte

Task Execution

Is responsible for performing all tasks on the platform.

Mercurio

Cloud Connection

Provides communication between the on-premise HYPER appliance and the Syneto Central cloud services.

Giove

Data Storage

Manages the storage and the integrity of the data. It handles:

Syneto’s file system, SyFS
Storage pool operations
Recovery Point creation
Cloning
Compression and deduplication
Metadata handling
Data Integrity checks

Chronos

Time Manager

Handles the scheduling of the tasks on the platform. It handles:

Task scheduling
SLA policy management - protection tasks, retention
Recovery point scheduling

SyFS

Syneto Filesystem

SyFS is a copy-on-write filesystem built upon proven technologies, extended with Syneto’s proprietary metadata layer.

Aurora

Monitoring & Metrics

Manages appliance performance metrics, log collection, alerting and communication with SerenITy or third-party platforms.
