How to Install SynetoOS 6 with Hyperion

→ Applies to: Hyperion 9.x and above

Ensure one of the following prerequisites is met before starting:
– Ensure to create the USB drive with Hyperion. For instructions, refer to “How to Create a Bootable USB Drive with Hyperion
- Ensure to mount the ISO via the Remote Board.

 

Step 1. Connect the USB stick or mount the ISO to the physical server on which you want to install Hyperion

Step 2. Reboot the server

Step 3. Select the Installation media, then press Enter
 

Automatic Installation only for Supported Platforms

Step 1. Select the Automatic install option, then press Enter

Wait for completion

Upon completion, the server will automatically shut down. Manually power the server back on to trigger the First Boot Initialization.

 

Step 2. Wait for the SynetoOS first boot

The IP address will not be visible in the ESXi console until the initial system installation is completed (approximately 10 minutes)

 

Step 3. Proceed with the configuration (“SynetoOS 6 Quick Setup”)

Interactive Installation only for Non-Supported Platforms

Step 1. Select the Interactive install option then press Enter

 

Step 2. Select the Time and Date field

 

 Step 3. Select Region and City, then click Done

 

Step 4. Select the Installation Destination field

 

Step 5. Select only the disk on which to install the SynetoOS, then click Done

 

Step 6. Click on Begin Installation

Wait for completion

Upon completion, the server will automatically restart.

 

Step 7. Wait for the SynetoOS first boot

The IP address will not be visible in the ESXi console until the initial system installation is completed (approximately 10 minutes)

 

Step 8. Proceed with the configuration (“SynetoOS 6 Quick Setup”)
