Ensure the following prerequisites are met before starting:

– SynetoOS Prometheus API access configured ("How to Monitor SynetoOS 5 with a Third-Party Application")

Step 1. Login to Zabbix GUI (replace <your_ip_address_or_hostname> with the correct ip/hostname)

Step 2. From Data collection menu, click on Templates

Step 3. Click on Import button

Step 4. Download and select the Syneto Hyper Zabbix Template .xml file and click on Import

Step 5. Click on Import

Step 6. The template will appear in the template list

Step 7. From Data collection menu, click on Hosts

Step 8. Click on Create host

Step 9. Fill out the form

• Host name: IP or FQDN;
• Visible name: friendly name to identify the host;
• Templates: "Syneto HYPER” (mandatory);
• Host groups: “Linux servers”.

Step 10. From the Macros tab, click on Inherited and host macros

Step 11. Enter the API key value (see prerequisites) and click on Update
