How to Change Hostname in SynetoOS 6

From VMware ESXi console From CLI

→ Applies to: SynetoOS 6.x

From VMware ESXi console

Step 1. Login to VMware ESXi GUI (replace <your_ip_address_or_hostname> with the correct ip/hostname)

https://<your_ip_address_or_hostname>

Step 2. From the left menu, click on Virtual Machines, then select the SynetoOS6 VM

Step 3. Open the VMware ESXi console

Step 4. Select Configure Network

Step 5. Change the Hostname and click on OK

Step 1. Connect to SynetoOS appliance via SSH as admin

ssh admin@<your_ip_address_or_hostname>

Step 2. Become Super User

sudo su

Step 3. Type this command

nmtui

Step 4. Click on Set system hostname

Step 5. Insert hostname and click OK

Step 6. Exit NetworkManager TUI
