A replica is a virtual machine whose restore points are replicated from a SynetoOS 6 appliance to a secondary SynetoOS 6 appliance.

Step 1. Login to SynetoOS GUI

Step 2. From Protection menu, click on Replicas

EXAMPLE

If no replicas have been received, the page is blank. If replicas have been received, the page displays a list of all replicated virtual machines.

Step 3. Click Recover

Step 4. Select date and time you want to restore

Step 5. Choose one of the available options for the recovery point

Recover files: Start the granular file recovery process. This allows administrators to recover individual files or folders locally, or on another virtual machine;
Recover virtual machine to replication target: The VM should be restored to the replication target configured on the system where the desired replica is located;
Hold recovery point: Enable this option to prevents deletion of the recovery point, even if SLA retention is exceeded;
Clone - Instant Recovery: Recover a complete virtual machine as it was at the selected time;
Copy to new virtual machine: Create a block-level copy of the virtual machine on local storage;
Delete: Remove the restore point from storage. Each restore point is independent, with a complete and independent virtual machine image.
