How to manage SLA policies in SynetoOS 6

SLA policies are used to define the following parameters for VM protection:

  • Frequency of snapshots
  • Retention period for protected data
  • Replication policy to another SynetoOS 6 system
  • Retention period for replicated data


Step 1. Login to SynetoOS GUI

Step 2. From Protection menu, click on SLA policies

The SLA policies page displays the default SLA policies and all the SLA policies defined by the user.
The default SLA policies are: Silver, Gold and Platinum. These SLA policies can be modified or deleted.

 

Create a new SLA policy


Step 1. Click the button Create policy


Step 2. Configure the parameters and click the button Create

You can set a specific start time for daily protection:


Step 3. Once the new SLA policy has been created, apply it to the desired VM.

 

Edit a SLA policy


Step 1. Select the SLA policy you want to modify and click Edit


Step 2. Modify the parameters and click the button Update
