How to Solve "Management IP Missing" in SynetoOS 6

Symptom

After the SynetoOS first boot, the management IP address doesn't appear due to DHCP missing.

 

Solution

Step 1. Access the Console via the Remote Board

Step 2. Press ALT+F1 and login

Login to SynetoOS with the following default credentials:

  • Username: admin 
  • Password: admin

 

Step 3. Get root privileges

sudo su -

 

Step 4. Enter the Network Manager

nmtui

 

Step 5. Select Edit a connection

 

Step 6. Select the Management Network, then press Enter

 

Step 7. Open the IPv4 CONFIGURATION section, then select Show

 

Step 8. Change from Automatic to Manual

 

Step 9. Add IP Address, Gateway and DNS servers, then select OK

 

Step 10. Select Back, then press Enter

 

Step 11. Select OK

 

Step 12. Reboot the server

After reboot wait for the Management IP
