IMPORTANT

The specific firewall ports and FQDNs listed below should never be changed, as they are essential for the proper functioning of the Cloud Gate system powered by N-able Cove Data Protection. Any modifications not aligned with the instructions in this document may prevent the system from performing backups correctly.

Cloud Gate Ports

Port Protocol Destination Description
443 TCP Backup Manager Server Mandatory for outbound communication
5000 TCP Backup Manager Server Mandatory for inbound/outbound communication

If port 5000 is unavailable, the Backup Manager automatically detects another available port (starting from 5001).
If backup bandwidth stays unchanged when adding a new VM, verify that all mandatory inbound and outbound ports to the Backup Manager are open.

Cloud Gate FQDNs

FQDN Destination Description
*.cloudbackup.management Backup Manager Server Mandatory for outbound communication
*.iaso.com Backup Manager Server Mandatory for outbound communication
*.backup.management Backup Manager Server Mandatory for outbound communication
*.mob.system-monitor.com Backup Manager Server Mandatory for outbound communication
*.prd.bckp.io Backup Manager Server Mandatory for outbound communication

If backup bandwidth stays unchanged when adding a new VM, verify that all required FQDNs for communication with storage nodes are allowed.
