How to Restore a VM in Cloud Gate

PREREQUISITES
– It is mandatory to have a Recovery Location configured in Cloud Gate powered by N-able Cove Data Protection.

 

Step 1. Login to Cove GUI

https://backup.management

 

Step 2. Select the Customer

 

Step 3. On the row of the VM you want to restore, click the three-dot menu

 

Step 4. Click on One-time restore

 

Step 5. Select Recovery location, then click on Next

 

Step 6. Select the VM, then click on Next

 

Step 7. Click on Next

 

Step 8. Choose Restore format, then click on Next

If the recovery is performed on ESXi, the restore format will be ESXi and Local VMDK.
If the recovery is performed on Hyper-V, the restore format will be Hyper-V and Local VHDX.

 

Step 9. Choose the datastore where you want to restore the virtual machine

 

Step 10. Check the Virtual machine settings, then click on Next

 

Step 11. Fill in the email fields, then click Next

 

Step 12. Click on Finish
