How to re-create OS RAID in SynetoOS 4

Step 1. Login to IPMI GUI

Step 2. Open remote console

Step 3. Open the virtual keyboard for the console

 

Step 4. Reboot the system

All VMs on the system must be switched off before the system is restarted.

 

Step 5. When the system starts, press CTRL+C

 A message will appear indicating that the system is calling up the SAS configuration utility.

 

Step 6. Verify RAID status

IR is the firmware version termination for the enabled boot controller with the boot priority.
Make sure the Status column is Enabled.

 

Step 7. Move on the line where IR is present and press Enter to access its menu

Step 8. Access the RAID Properties

Make sure to read [Enabled BIOS & OS].

 

Step 9 (optional). If not configured, create a RAID configuration by selecting the first option

If the RAID is already configured, this screen will appear:

 

Step 10. Set the RAID Disk column to YES for all disks

To enable RAID configuration use arrows to move on the RAID Disk column and press space bar to change the value from NO to YES

 

Step 11. press C to create the RAID volume
