The steps below allow you to restore the state of a virtual machine to a specific date without preserving the new data produced, starting from an old snapshot.

This action will delete all snapshots created in the meantime and all copies that may be present on the DR; the result of this action will be the consolidation of both datastores into one.

>> Stop the VM and check if the ISO or VMDK is mounted on another datastore or path and unmount them from the virtual machine settings in ESXi.

Step 1. Login to SynetoOS GUI

Step 2. From the left menu, click on Datastores

Step 3. Select the datastore by clicking on the corresponding row

Step 4. On the right-hand side, click on Snapshots

Step 5. Select the date to be restored

Step 6. Click on Clone

Step 7. Edit the name fields (if necessary) and click on Clone

Step 8. Select the cloned datastore

Step 9.  Click on Revert

Step 10. Confirm the action by clicking on Revert

Step 11. Wait for the operation to complete and switch on the VM
