How to solve VM "Invalid" status in SynetoOS 4

It may happen that a VM datastore is not connected inside VMware ESXi. 
To solve this issue, you need to check if the datastore is mounted on VMware ESXi.

 

Step 1. Login to VMware ESXi GUI (replace <your_ip_address_or_hostname> with the correct ip/hostname)

Step 2. Identify the VM with Invalid status

 

Step 3. Click on Storage in the left menu

 

Step 4. Check if NFS datastore capacity is 0 B

 

Step 5. Login to SynetoOS 4 GUI (replace <your_ip_address_or_hostname> with the correct ip/hostname)

Step 6. Click on Datastores in the left menu

 

Step 7. Check if the datastore is mounted on VMware ESXi

 

Step 8. Click on Change host

 

Step 9. Deselect the host and click on Update

 

Step 10. Click again on Change host

 

Step 11. Select the host again and click on Update
