Troubleshooting failed snapshots for Windows VMs in SynetoOS 4

Step 1. Login to SynetoOS GUI (replace <your_ip_address_or_hostname> with the correct ip/hostname)

Step 2. Click on Datastores in the left menu

 

Step 3.  Select the datastore from the list

 

Step 4.  Check failed snapshot error from logs

 

Step 5.  Access Windows Event Viewer inside the VM

To understand the cause of the problem, it is necessary to access the event logs of the VM. Usually, the most relevant information can be found inside the Event Viewer of the guest operating system (Windows).
