The first part of the migration will take place without shutting down the VM. When the remaining data to be migrated will reach the threshold of 8 GB, the VM will be automatically switched off and then switched on again on SynetoOS 5.

Migration requires downtime

Step 1. Login to SynetoOS GUI

Step 2. From Virtualization menu, click on Hosts

Step 3. Click on Add VMware server button

Step 4. Fill in the required fields and click on Add button

Step 5. From Virtualization menu, click on Virtual machines

Step 6. Select the virtual machine you want to migrate

Step 7. In the top right corner, click on the three dots and then on Migrate locally

Step 8. Fill in the required fields and click on Next button

Step 9. Select the SLA policy and click on Next

Step 10. Check the entire configuration and click on Migrate
