→ Applies to: VMware ESXi 6.5 and above

Ensure the vSwitch has access to the VLAN, through uplinks properly connected to the switch.

Step 1. Login to VMware ESXi GUI

Step 2. Create a new port group (Networking panel, Port groups tab)

Step 3. Complete the configuration for the new port group

Step 4. Assign the new port group to any VM

• Access VM panel
• Select the VM and press "Edit"

• Go to Network Adapter option and select the new port group
