How to recover a virtual machine in SynetoOS 5

Each restore point created by a SLA policy in SynetoOS 5 is a stand-alone complete image of the protected virtual machine, in a specific time.

SynetoOS 5 allows instant restoration of a virtual machine from a restore point. 
 

Step 1. Login to SynetoOS GUI

Step 2. From Virtualization menu, click on Virtual machines

Step 3. Click Recover

 

Step 4. Select date and time you want to restore


Step 5. Choose one of the available options for the recovery point

Recover files: Starts the granular file recovery process. This allows administrators to recover individual files or folders locally, or on another virtual machine;
Clone: Recovers a complete virtual machine as it was at the selected time;
Copy to new virtual machine: Creates a block-level copy of the virtual machine on local storage;
